I appreciate that you may not want to implement this, and this isn't a full on note taking app, but I found that it can really help fill the final piece of the puzzle with drawing attention to important points.
I came from OneNote's Sticky Notes (new) app and I think they have a good implementation of this. Even if you'd rather not add UI buttons, keyboard shortcuts that are just silently there for power users would still be great.
OneNote's Sticky Notes worked great for me but unfortunately auto launch on login is broken and window positions appear to be random, making it useless in my eyes.
This feature would be the final piece of the puzzle for me so I can dump it!
Note that I'm mainly opening an issue just to hear your thoughts. I will likely consider implementing this myself in a PR / fork in future.
