Is rv aimed primarily at generic R projects or also for packages?

If so, any plan on re-using the pkg DESCRIPTION file instead of duplicating half of the information in toml config?

Hi! For package development, we recommend having the following lines as your dependencies section:

dependencies = [
    "devtools",
    { name = "<pkg name>", path = ".", dependencies_only = true, install_suggestions = true }
]

This way, rv will install dependencies from your DESCRIPTION file, but not the actual package, allowing you to quickly iterate the package using devtools::load_all().
