Gamesir G4S support

Hello Capehill.
I need your help to figure out how can I make my Gamesir G4S being supported by SDL 2 and above on AmigaOS 4. The SDL gamecontrollerdb file seems to have it in the list (https://github.com/mdqinc/SDL_GameControllerDB/blob/master/gamecontrollerdb.txt#L1328). Running the controller and joystick test utilities that you ship with SDL2 they seem to see it but unfortunately, moving the controller doesn't seem to register any movement.

Is there anything I should do to make it work?

When you connect this controller to your AmigaOS 4 system, is it recognized by AmigaInput?

yes, it is. But does the SDL port rely on AmigaInput?

The game that supports best my controller is https://github.com/ptitSeb/prototype. But I am not sure what exactly the developer did there to have so good support.

Yes, AmigaInput is used. So if your controller is known to work with AmigaInput, then it should also work when you try SDL2 testjoystick program. And if that worked, you should be able to use SDL2 controllermap program to create game controller mappings for SDL2/3 meaning that Gamesir would be recognized as a game controller (there is testgamecontroller for that).

Then Gamesir mappings can be added into SDL2/3 databases.

So SDL2/3 have 2 subsystems: joystick and game controller. Joystick is more of a legacy thing while game controller API is considered more modern. But of course AmigaInput doesn't support many things modern systems do these days.
