Project Overview

The Stellar Security Scanner is now available on Drips Network for community contributors to apply for funding and work on security-related issues.

🎯 Project Mission

To create the most comprehensive security scanning tool for Stellar smart contracts, enabling developers to build secure and reliable applications on the Stellar network.

💰 Funding Structure

Total Funding Pool: 10,000 USDC/month

Core Development (60% - 6,000 USDC/month)

  • Vulnerability Detection Engine: 2,000 USDC/month
  • Invariant Checking System: 1,500 USDC/month
  • Performance Optimization: 1,000 USDC/month
  • User Interface & Reporting: 1,500 USDC/month

Community Contributions (25% - 2,500 USDC/month)

  • New Vulnerability Patterns: 1,000 USDC/month
  • Invariant Rule Development: 800 USDC/month
  • Documentation & Examples: 700 USDC/month

Testing & Quality Assurance (15% - 1,500 USDC/month)

  • Test Coverage: 800 USDC/month
  • Security Audits: 500 USDC/month
  • Performance Benchmarks: 200 USDC/month

📋 Contribution Categories

🔒 Security Research (High Priority)

  • Reward: 200-500 USDC per vulnerability pattern
  • Requirements: Detailed analysis, proof of concept, test cases
  • Examples: Reentrancy patterns, access control bypasses, economic attacks

🧪 Development Tasks (Medium Priority)

  • Reward: 100-300 USDC per feature
  • Requirements: Working implementation, tests, documentation
  • Examples: New output formats, performance improvements, UI enhancements

📚 Documentation (Low Priority)

  • Reward: 50-150 USDC per contribution
  • Requirements: Clear explanations, examples, tutorials
  • Examples: API docs, user guides, best practices

🐛 Bug Fixes (Variable Priority)

  • Reward: 50-400 USDC per fix
  • Based on: Severity, impact, complexity
  • Examples: Critical bugs (400 USDC), Minor issues (50 USDC)

🚀 How to Apply

Step 1: Get Setup

  1. Clone the repository
  2. Set up development environment
  3. Join our Discord community
  4. Introduce yourself in #contributors

Step 2: Choose an Issue

  1. Browse available issues on GitHub
  2. Check the Drips Network dashboard
  3. Comment on the issue to claim it
  4. Wait for maintainer approval

Step 3: Submit Proposal

  1. Create a detailed proposal
  2. Include timeline and deliverables
  3. Specify funding amount
  4. Submit via Drips Network

Step 4: Get Funded

  1. Community reviews proposal
  2. Maintainers approve funding
  3. Receive initial payment (50%)
  4. Start development

Step 5: Complete Work

  4. Submit pull request

Step 6: Get Paid

  1. Code review and approval
  2. Merge to main branch
