App Crashes immediately after agreeing to "Add HID funcitons to the default USB gadget?..."

I'm having the same issue as well, my specs are the following (it seems to be associated with Samsung devices):

Device Details

• Device: Samsung Note 9
• OS: Android 14
• ROM: Noble ROM 4.3
• Soft Keyboard: Unexpected Keyboard
• Are You Rooted? Yes
• Root Method: Magisk 28.1

Edit: I've also experienced this issue on my Samsung S8+ (running Lineage OS 21, Magisk and Android 13)

Hey everyone, I just released v3.0.0-beta, so I thought I should ping people. As explained in the release notes, I added support for some "device-specific quirks" and I also slightly modified the gadget configuration process. I also fixed various bugs that could've been causing issues.

Basically what I'm saying is:

1. please try out the v3.0.0-beta (following the update procedure at the top of the release notes)
2. see if there's still a problem
3. if so, then try to enable "Experimental mode", then enable the "Disable gadget functions during configuration" option that shows up underneath it, then reopen the app and try again.

At that point, if your issue is gone, please let me know, and if your issue is NOT gone, also please let me know.

These commits have fixed a few people's issues already, so I'm wondering how many other people's issues will be resolved by these changes.

I've tried the v3.0.0-beta release, the popup still appears on launch (including the Experimental mode fix). Closing it no longer crashes the application.

Trying to use the application doesn't work, plugged in before launch and after didn't work as well.

Hi @ProgrammerManSudjo, thanks for the update! Do you mind trying out v3.0.0-beta2 which I just released a second ago? If that doesn't fix it, I'm out of ideas for the time being, but I have higher hopes for it. Just for the sake of minimizing issues, I'd do the same "update procedure" explained in the v3.0.0-beta release notes, but technically it's probably unnecessary.

I apologize for the wait @Arian04, I've tried the following version v.3.0.0-beta2 which didn't work, when launching the app at first it shows the "Character devices(s) to not exist: Add HID funcitons to the default USB gadget?..." prompt.
After declining or accepting the prompt it doesn't crash but it doesn't work, I've tried by disabling and enabling the experimental setting "Disable gadget functions during configuration" still it's the same result as previous.
And different installation procedures, updating and reinstalling as well.
