Allow watching parts of the data directory (e.g. listed subdirectories)

Hi,

This is a very handy tool, so thanks very much for putting the time into it.

Feature suggestion; currently it seems only possible to watch the entire data directory. A nice feature would be to allow watching (a list of) subdirectories, so that a more limited selection of files are watched. In my case, I just want to create an "Inbox" watch-style folder, so watching the entire hierarchy is excessive.

Perhaps I might try adding it also if I find time
