The bottle is gone. The reasons it was there are not. The One Holding is present. The Room With The Bottle is empty.

Direction

Toward the moment The One Holding picks The Bottle back up - or doesn't. The process does not know which. Neither does the person.

Lever

Carrying force: everything The Bottle was doing that nothing else is doing yet. The silence it filled. The edges it took off. The version of themselves it made possible.

Resistance: The One Holding still standing. Dry. Not recovered. Holding. White-knuckling is the technical term. It is accurate.

Echo

The next process inherits a person who has not had a drink and has not found out why they needed one. That is not stability. That is a held breath.
