Interest in Contributing to the Project

🚀 I’m Interested in Contributing!

Hi City of Boston team,

I’ve forked and cloned the assessing-properties repo and successfully ran it locally. I would love to contribute in any way that’s helpful whether it’s UI improvements, data visualization, performance, accessibility, or documentation. Are there anything beginner-friendly issues that I could work on?

However, I ran into a CORS-related error when trying to use the search API. It seems the backend endpoint is referencing an undefined Firebase project ID. I suspect this is due to a missing .env or environment config.

Could you point me to the proper development setup or let me know if there's a sandbox/test environment I could work against?
