Outdated ROCm version?

For some reason, by default if you select AMD GPU, comfy-cli starts downloading ROCm 6.3 which is fairly outdated compared to the newest one ROCm 7.2.4,

The default ROCm version is currently set to 6.3 in the codebase [1]. The supported versions defined in comfy_cli/constants.py are 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 7.0, and 7.1 [2] — so ROCm 7.2.4 isn't available as an option yet.

As a workaround, you can use the --rocm-version flag to select a newer version (up to 7.1 currently):

comfy install --gpu amd --rocm-version 7.1

This version selection feature was added in PR #379, which also bumped the default from 6.1 to 6.3. Adding ROCm 7.2 support would require updating the ROCmVersion enum in constants.py and potentially updating the default — though it also depends on whether PyTorch publishes wheels for that ROCm version at download.pytorch.org/whl/rocm7.2.
