During the 2026-28 Strategy period, we will work to enhance and maintain metadata quality and interoperability to ensure maximum uptake by other systems and discovery tools.
The following improvements to our article metadata will be released by the end of 2026:
- Support multiple languages for article titles and abstracts
- Support references
- Support multiple institutional affiliations per author
- Adapt our harvester to collect article metadata from additional sources for journals indexed in DOAJ (e.g. Redalyc, LatIndex, or Scielo)
- Display article abstracts as rich text
- Allow for e-location IDs as well as page numbers
- Support the ingest and display of other PIDs
