Problem: There's no easy way for the journalists who put the vote data into this website, to update the list of councillors as old ones retire or are elected to the Dáil and new ones are co-opted. In the current version of the website, each change of the councillor line-up requires some coding. So the councillor line-up is frozen at December 2022, and we cannot accurately add more recent votes.
Solution: There's a back-end control panel where we journalists can add new votes, and info about them, and go down the line-up of councillors and use radio buttons to mark who voted how. I think the best solution would be to add a way through that control panel to add new councillors to that line-up, as they join the council.
