The non-profit association FAForever's aim is to support the open and continued development of Forged Alliance Forever, for the game Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance.
The association is managed by a board, elected annually from the FAForever association's membership, with the Association's main activities being:
- Management and promotion of tournaments alongside other internal services and activities relating to the community.
- Fostering and maintaining a healthy community environment across FAF communication mediums.
- Managing the professional relationships between Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance Forever and other organizations.
- Supporting development of the open source codebase.
- Promoting the game and community.
- Royalty-free operation of servers and services enabling the community.
- Hosting and promoting of tournaments relating to the game.
- Supporting the development of third party content such as maps and mods.
The FAForever association also has statutes of association with further details on the association, along with setting out a structure for teams that the board has delegated responsibilities to (the community role referred to in this proposal has since been retired).
