ForgeDev Commercial License Agreement

Version 1.0 — July 2026

1. Overview

This Commercial License Agreement ("Commercial License") is a legal agreement between ForgeDev ("Licensor", "we", "us") and the entity or person purchasing this license ("Licensee", "you", "your") for the commercial use of ForgeDev software projects (the "Software").

This Commercial License applies only when you have purchased a commercial license from ForgeDev. If you have not purchased a commercial license, your use of the Software is governed by the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0).

2. Grant of License

Subject to your payment of the applicable license fees, ForgeDev grants you a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  1. Use the Software for commercial purposes without the obligations of the AGPL-3.0 license
  2. Modify the Software and create derivative works without obligation to disclose source code
  3. Distribute the Software (original or modified) as part of your commercial product, provided that the Software is not distributed as a standalone product
  4. Deploy the Software (original or modified) as a network service without obligation to publish modifications

3. Restrictions

You may NOT:

  1. Sublicense the Software or grant rights to third parties beyond your own organization
  2. Redistribute the Software as a standalone open-source or commercial product
  3. Remove or alter copyright notices, license headers, or ForgeDev branding in the source code
  4. Use the ForgeDev name, logo, or brand to endorse or promote your product without written consent
  5. Reverse engineer the Software for the purpose of creating a competing product

4. License Scope

4.1 Per-Project License

This Commercial License applies to a specific ForgeDev project (identified by its repository name). If you wish to use multiple ForgeDev projects commercially, you must purchase a license for each project or contact us for a multi-project license.

4.2 Version Coverage

Your Commercial License covers all versions of the Software released during your license period, plus any versions released within 12 months after your license period ends.

4.3 Modifications by ForgeDev

ForgeDev may update the Software at any time. Your Commercial License covers all updates released during your license period.

5. Fees

5.1 License Fee

The commercial license fee is determined on a per-project basis. Contact info@forgedev.dev for current pricing.

5.2 Renewal

Commercial licenses are perpetual for the version you purchased. Ongoing updates and support require an active support agreement (renewed annually).

6. Warranty and Support

6.1 Warranty

ForgeDev warrants that the Software will perform substantially in accordance with its documentation for a period of 90 days from the license start date.

6.2 Support

Basic email support is included for 90 days. Extended support plans are available — contact info@forgedev.dev.

6.3 Disclaimer

Except for the express warranty in Section 6.1, the Software is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind.

7. Termination

This Commercial License terminates automatically if you:

  1. Breach any term of this agreement and fail to cure the breach within 30 days of notice
  2. Fail to pay applicable license fees

Upon termination, you must stop using the Software and destroy all copies, but may continue using any version you downloaded during your license period under the AGPL-3.0 terms.

8. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Spain. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Spain.
