Edit: I see you are just patching the upstream commit, wierd that the issue is still happening for me

I has to be noted that I was using the source version of the package on the aur

The AUR package isn't ours, and it's deprecated (using f8e462342189525e4605cf233b8f798d1c7f398d commit instead of the newer 70f560fc22212f733647c9121c26bbb2307f2e10 which is used by Arch - and us by extension).
