Open Source Payments Plugin for Genie

I'm thinking about creating an open source payments plugin for the Genie Framework using Kill Bill as the backend payment provider. The goal is to support one-time payments, subscriptions, invoicing, and basic billing flows via Kill Bill's REST API, wrapped in a clean Genie plugin. Open to thoughts, feedback, or concerns—just want to make sure I’m not overlooking something before getting too deep into the build.

Could it be moved it to the Discussions tab?

I’d be happy if anyone has some good ideas. Maybe it’s good to reimplement a package like django-payments or active_merchant. However, I’d like to avoid any unnecessary pitfalls.

@andreeco That would be a great idea. There's no payments plugin as far as I can tell, so it would be a very useful addition to the ecosystem.
