WebSocket Module Standardization - 15 Issues

Core Infrastructure - 5 Issues

Issue #1: Implement Core WebSocket Gateway Service

Priority: Critical
Type: Feature Implementation

Description: Build the core WebSocket gateway service that handles connections, disconnections, and message routing with support for multiple transport protocols.

Direction:

  • Create src/websocket/gateways/websocket.gateway.ts using @nestjs/websockets
  • Implement connection lifecycle management (onConnect, onDisconnect)
  • Support both WebSocket and Socket.IO protocols
  • Add namespace support for logical grouping
  • Implement request/response pattern

Issue #2: Implement Connection Manager and State Tracking

Description: Create a connection manager service to track active connections, manage session state, and handle connection pooling.

Description: Create a message queue system ensuring reliable message delivery with retry logic and acknowledgment handling.

  • Implement outbound message queue with persistence
