I tried to install the profile uploader before installing Heroes of the Storm, and I got an exception (app domain exception, app is terminating). At the same time, I also got the Heroes Profile app icon added to my desktop, implying a completed installation.
As a user, if HOTS isn't installed, I would expect a clear message telling me so, and then an OK button to terminate the app.
The same exception occurs if I haven't played/completed any games.
