I'll design a canary deployment workflow that upgrades a single test table first, monitors key health metrics and error rates, and then progressively rolls out the new contract to additional tables only if the deployment remains healthy. If the configured error threshold is exceeded at any stage, the process will automatically halt and roll back to the previous contract version.

The implementation will be modular, configurable, and compatible with the existing upgrade flow, with clear logging, rollback safeguards, and tests covering successful rollouts, failed canary deployments, and automatic recovery scenarios.

I would like to work on this issue because I enjoy improving the reliability and safety of smart contract deployments. Progressive rollouts with automated rollback mechanisms are essential for minimizing risk during upgrades, especially for production systems.
For this task, I will implement a staged deployment strategy that first deploys the upgraded contract to a single test table, monitors key health metrics and error rates, and then gradually expands the rollout to additional tables upon successful validation. I will also implement automatic rollback when the configured error threshold is exceeded, ensuring deployments fail safely. In addition, I will add comprehensive tests covering successful staged rollouts, error detection, rollback behavior, and edge cases, while documenting the deployment workflow to ensure the solution is maintainable and meets all acceptance criteria.
