When you discharged until it powered off, did the light still stay on? It sounds like it might be a hardware fault to me :( |

Hi, everyone.
I recently charged my wife's PineTime (which was powered off/battery depleted and had 1.16 installed). After charging it up, I noticed that the green sensor light is stuck on, though it's a consistent glow and a bit dimmer than the strobing effect that occurs when measuring heart rate.
I tried reflashing (upgraded to 1.16.1), doing a soft reset (holding button for 8 seconds), letting the power deplete fully again to power off and then charging back up again, and tried toggling all of the heart rate settings off/on, with and without also toggling the heart rate measurement app. Nothing I have done so far has changed the situation. The watch is otherwise usable and the battery isn't really discharging at a steeper rate than mine, which is unaffected (both watches ordered years ago, at the same time).
The only similar report I could find was this unanswered forum post from three years ago, suggesting it's not due to any recent firmware updates or changes.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas of other things I can try to disable the light?
Thank you for your help!
