Limit length of git branch name

A recent update seems to ignore the branch_max_length on the git segment. I suppose it should be trivial to modify the template to add something to {{ .HEAD }} to get it to limit the length (safely, as I would like 13 characters as most, but of course main is shorter than that, so it shouldn't throw an error).

Any ideas?

Answering my own question, right after posting I finally found the reference to the sprig language.

{{ substr 0 13 .HEAD }}

{{ trunc 14 .HEAD }}
or if you want ... added
{{ truncE 14 .HEAD }}
