Hello everyone,
I'm writing this mail to show my strong interest in (Project #1: PerceptionMetrics: GUI extension and support for standard datasets and models) for GSoC 2026.
I'm a fresh robotics engineering graduate, Assiut university, Egypt, and I've been working on the following:
2- Self-driving cars and robotics systems, including real-time self-driving sweepers, USVs, and energy-saving cars, working on ros2_control, Gazebo, nav2, slam_toolbox...etc.
3- Embedded systems with implements of ONNX, TensorRT, and CUDA kernels optimizing DL models.
I had contributed to open source community, conducting:
1- ros2 wrapper for Yolo Cpp in C++, including object detection, segmentation, pose estimation, including onnx and tensorRT optimization.
2- Autonomous Driving Sweeper: Developed an autonomous outdoor cleaning robot using ROS 2,integrating SLAM Toolbox, Nav2, and RP LiDAR , with 3D perception via Intel RealSense D455 and YOLOv12,on NVIDIA Jetson Nano using ros2 control for real-time control.
3- RAG-Based Travel Assistant Chatbot for Archaeological Sites: RAG-based chatbot answering queries for Egyptian archaeological sites.
I’m now exploring the repository and would appreciate guidance for being a contribution.
