Region updating in ultranest.mlfriends.MLFriends

This might be a stupid and trivial question, but does the region get updated everytime ultranest writes to debug.log?

I mean if the region ultranest.mlfriends.MLFriends gets updated with every iteration, or what's the criteria for the region update?

when N iterations have passed and M likelihood calls have been made.

The second avoids updates when sampling is going efficiently.
