The CI errors have nothing to do with this PR I think.
Many repos set up their workflows so that CI is not run when changes are made only to .md files.
I'll make a separate PR for that :)

Really should have included a better description, something like: fast multi-dimensional 0th–3rd order splines on nonuniform Cartesian grids, with optimized derivatives, hessians, and adjoints/reverse-mode rules.

Happy to make a new PR after #641 (or such) reduces the CO2 footprint of the change :)
