Khalis SSO broken: Signup and password reset both failing #1873

Description

@uttamdeepk22

Describe the bug
Both creating a new account with email/password and resetting a forgotten password are broken on sikhitothemax.org. Signup throws an "Unhandled exception" during the SSO login flow, and "Lost Password" fails with an email-sending error.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Signup issue:

  • Go to sikhitothemax.org
  • Try to create a new account using email and password
  • Get redirected through SSO (sso.khalis.net)
  • See "Unhandled exception" error page

Password reset issue:

  • Go to sikhitothemax.org login page
  • Click "Forgot Password"
  • Enter username or email address
  • Click "Get New Password"
  • See error: "The email could not be sent. Your site may not be correctly configured to send emails."

Expected behavior
Signup should complete and create the account without errors. "Lost Password" should send a reset email so the account can be recovered.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: [e.g. iOS]
  • Browser [e.g. chrome, safari] - Chrome
  • Version [e.g. 22]

Additional context
This isn't isolated to one account — another user reported the same "email could not be sent" error on password reset independently. They mentioned also getting a login error on the sttm mobile app, and tried the desktop password recovery as a workaround, hitting the identical error.
