[Bug]: deleting tasks doesnt delete task in focus

What happened?

I noticed sometimes when i delete items, the app deletes the item above instead of the one im currently on

Steps to reproduce

1. create a few items
2. delete one that isnt the first item
3. possibly need to switch back and forth between the panes

Expected behavior

should delete the item in focus
