These terms are legally binding. Do not submit a contribution to open·kritt unless you have read and agree to them.
The official open·kritt project is owned by Harel Rom and Gabriel Balko (together, the
Owners). A Contribution is any original code, documentation, artwork, design,
idea expressed in copyrightable form, or other material intentionally submitted to the
official repository at https://github.com/Kritt-ai/open-kritt by pull request, commit,
patch, issue, or another authenticated GitHub interaction intended for inclusion in the
project.
By intentionally submitting a Contribution, you affirm that you have read and agree to these terms. The ordinary act of making an authenticated GitHub submission, together with the GitHub identity associated with it, constitutes your electronic assent and signature to this agreement. No separate signature, contributor agreement, form, checkbox, registry, or other action is required. The assignment below takes effect when you submit the Contribution; rejection, closure, or later withdrawal of the submission does not revoke it.
You irrevocably assign to the Owners, in equal undivided shares, all worldwide right, title, and interest you hold in copyright and other transferable rights covering the Contribution, for their full duration, including renewals, extensions, registrations, applications, accrued claims, and the rights to use, reproduce, modify, create derivative works, distribute, display, perform, make available, license, sublicense, relicense, register, enforce, settle claims, and recover damages.
For any right that cannot legally be assigned, you grant the Owners an exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free license to exercise that right. For any right that can be neither assigned nor licensed, you waive it and agree not to assert it against the Owners, the project, their successors, or their direct and indirect licensees to the fullest extent applicable law permits.
To the fullest extent applicable law permits, you waive and agree not to assert moral rights in the Contribution. Where waiver is unavailable, you consent to the Owners and their licensees using, modifying, combining, publishing, and otherwise exploiting the Contribution, with or without attribution.
You also grant the Owners a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free license under patent claims you own or control that are necessarily infringed by the Contribution alone or combined with the project as submitted.
By submitting, you represent that:
- you have legal authority to agree to these terms and grant these rights;
- you own the rights in your original Contribution;
- no employer, client, university, or other person owns or restricts those rights;
- your Contribution does not violate another agreement or obligation; and
- you have clearly identified all third-party material, its source, and its license.
If any statement above is not true, do not submit the Contribution. These terms assign only your original rights; they do not claim ownership of properly disclosed third-party material or dependencies.
Submitting a Contribution gives you no ownership, governance, approval, trademark, or other special right in open·kritt. The Owners may accept, reject, remove, modify, enforce, or license the Contribution under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or other terms they select. You continue to receive the rights available to every recipient of a publicly licensed version.
No payment is owed for a Contribution unless the Owners separately agree in writing. If part of these terms is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder will continue in effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, excluding conflict-of-law rules, and the competent courts in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to rules that applicable law does not permit the parties to alter.
These terms should be reviewed by qualified Israeli and U.S. counsel. Electronic assent can satisfy writing and signature requirements in some jurisdictions, but enforceability depends on the facts and applicable law.
