EVA明体简体 (Eva-Ming-SC)

A simplified Chinese font based on Matisse EB (Matisse Pro), the iconic typeface used in the Neon Genesis Evangelion series. The font was created by extracting glyphs from the original and training a zi2zi-JiT model to generate the full GB2312 character set (6763 characters).

Production

All characters are generated in 256x256 resolution, traced with Potrace then compiled with FontForge.

Font Files

Font files are located in the data/ directory:

Installation

Download the OTF file from the data/ directory and double-click to install.

Known Limitations

  • Character 个 (U+4E2A) was unable to be correctly generated, so Source Han Serif's glyph is used instead.
