Waveshare 10.1inch HDMI LCD (B)

Introduction

The Waveshare 10.1inch HDMI LCD (B) touch display regulary freezes when the HDMI port is turned on by TeleFrames toggleMonitor function.

To ensure that the display continues working after toggleMonitor on function, some files should be changed as shown here.

Raspbian software changes

/boot/config.txt add this to the end of file

max_usb_current=1
hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=27
hdmi_blanking=1
hdmi_cvt 1280 800 60 6 0 0 0
hdmi_drive=1

if you are not using a pi4 disable this line too

[all/pi4]
#dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d

if you like to use a VPN tool like teamviewer or anydesk you need to add

[teamviewer/anydesk]
hdmi_force_hotplug=1

To prevent screen blanking for any circumstances I had to change (add befor exit)

/etc/rc.local

xset s off
xset -dpms

TeleFrame configuration

~/TeleFrame/config/config.json add this or ammend existing one to

"screenConfig"="./config/screens/hdmi_default.js",

~/TeleFrame/config/screens/hdmi_default.js ammend resolution to

xres 1280.
yres 800
