cannot load the package authblk to add information about the authors

I try to use the package `authblk' to add the information about the authors. However, when I use the pdflatex to build the pdf file, the process stopped at the command \usepackage{authblk} and I have to stop the process. I have tried to add this package to another template and it works well.

Could you please help me with this problem?

BTW, how to make a more simple clarification about authors who come from different institutions?

Same here, using the package authblk leads to Latex errors.

Given the commands implemented in cvpr.cls, I do not manage to find another solution to add instution affiliations for multiple authors using footnotes...
