After opening AdvantageScope, connecting to a robot, opening a console tab, and typing a filter into the filter box, the console tab won't update anymore, and any subsequent tabs opened won't properly load their renderer and controller.
To fix it, I tried reconnecting to the robot, to no avail. The only way to fix it was to restart AdvantageScope.
I observed this on a Windows computer, but I don't know if it applies to all platforms or not.
