Charging limit swtich not working

Even though I've enabled charging limit with Always Write CTRL File, still charging not stopping at desired percentage.
Android Version: 12.1
ROM : Pixel OS

Same issue but I'm on a xiaomi mi 12 (cupid) running android 14
