[JOSS] Markdown list does not render in paper

Hi everyone, I am happy to start my review for joss with this first minor issue. I hope to finish my review over the next weeks. I will probably work on it in several sessions, wherever I find some time.

My first issue i saw when reading the paper: The markdown list in Research Impact statement does not render correctly in the pdf:

Thank you for noticing this rendering issue. This has been resolved by #329
