A possible mechanism to tag / manage sub-groups of the whole UKSI which fall into specific assemblages, need regular updates, and may have overlapping taxa such as:
- UK Freshwater Fish
- PANTHEON assemblage X/Y/Z
- Invasive species
- Priority species (identified through stakeholder consultation)
- Lichen SSSI list
Proposed mechanism:
- UKBOL site pulls in entire UKSI and trims it based on rules to remove subspecies etc
- UKBOL loads subgroups and their associated tags from the g-sheet(s) - sheet(s) have columns such as:
TVK | Taxon name | tag 1 | tag 2 | etc
- UKBOL site has a filter/view mechanism based on tags to show / download only species in the focal assemblage
"show me all freshwater fish / dung associated inverts in Pantheon"
As the link between UKSI and tag is managed in g-sheets the website only needs to load tags using the google API on a schedule
