xHE-AAC (USAC) audio glitches after video seeking #677

Description

@Raccffy

Video seeking causes xHE-AAC (USAC) audio to glitch for a second.

System

  • OS: Windows 10.0.19044 (64-bit) (Build 21H2)
  • LAV Filters Version: 0.80.0.9

Tested Video Players

With LAV Filters

  • MPC-HC (Version: 2.5.4 (38c090ec9), Build date: Oct 1 2025, K-Lite Codec Pack Mega Install): Constant audio glitches during keyframe seeking.
  • Windows Media Player 12: Same as MPC-HC.

Without LAV Filters

  • ffplay (Version: 8.0-full_build-www.gyan.dev): No glitches at all, but causes a video to slow down to sync with delayed audio stream.

Reproduction Steps

  1. Install MPC-HC and LAV Filters via K-Lite Codec Pack or using any other method. Make sure that LAV Filters are decoding video and audio streams.
  2. Open MPC-HC options (View tab --> Options...), select Tweaks block, then enable Fast seek (on keyframe) option and choose Nearest keyframe.
  3. Download any source video (provided below) and open it in MPC-HC.
  4. Press and to seek the video (or use Shift+Left or Shift+Right if you haven't enabled fast seek).

If audio glitches - bug is successfully reproduced.
