Displaying mouvements even with OSD alg disabled / movement alarm

I'm wondering if it would be possible to display power and spectrum even with OSD alg disabled.

It allows to understand if my son move without going at his side.

For example, there are many days when I work while he is resting after seizure, often waiting for the next one.
Knowing that there are no movements is important to me because it would be dangerous for him to walk in that state. Knowing that he is sleeping in his bed is a way to keep my peace of mind.

Yes, that sounds like a good idea - we can calculate the results of all the algorithms, but just not generate alarms if they are not enabled. I did add the Standard Deviation of the acceleration values to the ML page with the intention of using it for that purpose, but it is not as easy to see as the movement on the OSD alg page. I'll add this to V5.1.

Here are a few (probably useless) thoughts about the problem:

Seizure Detection Algorhitms active: OSD and ML
Algorhitm Voting Strategy: Any Algorhitm (OR)

The "Warn Time (sec)" and the "Alarm Time (sec)" will most likely have to be modified for this to work, so that their settings are available individually for the OSD, Flap, Fall and (if useful) the ML algorithms.

Example:

The ML Algorithm settings remain unchanged
The OSD Algorithm Threshold and Ratio are set to a suitable value to pick up any dangerous moves. The OSD warn time is set to a short period, e.g. 5 seconds, while the alarm time is set to a high value, e.g. 120 seconds.

Sequence of events:

The carer is doing some work with the phone in his pocket. If the epileptic person ("EP") has a seizure, then this is detected by the ML algorithm which raises the alarm as usual. It is of no importance if the seizure is at this time also detected by the OSD algorithm.
The seizure abates, and the EP sleeps. Then the EP starts moving or walking around. This will get picked up by the OSD algorithm, but not by the ML algorithm.
This will generate a warning beep at a reduced volume (only at the phone's notification volume), informing the carer that the EP might be moving or walking around.
Should the EP have a seizure in the meantime, then the full alarm will sound as usual.

If the carer is looking at the phone screen, then the movements will also be displayed on the OSD tab as usual.
This might resolve the problem, while only requiring minimal changes to the code.

I have been having a play with V5.1.0b today and noticed that with the extra tab that we now have for the fall algorithm, the System tab is hidden, and there is no visual clue to the user to tell them to scroll the headings to find it.

So this got me wondering about another option:

1. Hide (rather than grey out) tabs for algorithms that are disabled (so the System tab will be visible, unless you have everything enabled).
2. Add another tab, which is a summary, maybe showing the acceleration magnitude variation over time (say the last 10 minutes), and the history of the alarm state, showing which algorithms made it alarm when.

That would seem better than using the OSD algorithm values when it is disabled, but we might need to discuss whether it is acceleration magnitude, standard deviation over the 5 second period, or something else that we use for the indication of movement.

I am happy for you all to disagree though! (I actually like the power spectrum, but I'm not sure many other users do...)

On a screen width of 360px approx. 4 tabs can be positioned. So hiding instead of greying out those unused tabs certainly makes sense to me.

For the display of the movements I have made a suggestion here: #259 (comment) - would that idea solve the problem?

I like the power spectrum, but similar to Graham I'm happy to listen to other opinions...

The multiple algo is especially interesting.
But it's like using one algo for a different purpose.

In an ideal world, I would have added a monitoring panel, showing power and O2 and heart rate. With some possibilities to raise warnings or alerts on certain values. We could even imagine to listen the sound(watch might have a mic) on demand...

But it's more like an adding function than a usage of the algo I guess...
