Minting Pausable Implementation - #261

✅ Implementation Complete

Pausable minting token with role-based pause control, emergency pause capability, and comprehensive status tracking.

✅ Acceptance Criteria Met

1. Pauses are Controlled ✅

  • pauseMinting(reason) - Pause minting with reason
  • unpauseMinting(reason) - Resume minting
  • emergencyPause() - Emergency pause without reason
  • Only authorized roles can control pauses
  • Test Proof: 5 tests validating pause control

2. Minting is Restricted ✅

  • mint(to, amount) - Reverts if paused
  • mintBatch(recipients[], amounts[]) - Batch reverts if paused
  • Transfers also blocked during pause (via whenNotPaused)
  • Only minters can call mint functions
  • Test Proof: 6 tests validating restrictions

3. Status is Tracked ✅

  • isMintingPaused() - Current pause state
  • getPauseStatus() - Full pause status object
  • getPauseHistory() - Pause history metrics
  • getTimeSincePause() - Duration of current pause
  • Pause timestamps and counts tracked
  • Test Proof: 8 tests validating status tracking

4. Emergency Pauses Work ✅

  • emergencyPause() - Instant pause by emergency pauser
  • Independent role (EMERGENCY_PAUSER_ROLE)
  • Counts as regular pause in history
  • Can be unpaused normally
  • Test Proof: 3 tests validating emergency pauses

5. Queries Work ✅

  • isMintingPaused() - Boolean state query
  • getPauseStatus() - Comprehensive status (isPaused, pausedSince, totalPauses, timePaused)
  • getPauseHistory() - History info (totalPauses, lastPauseStart, lastUnpauseTime)
  • getTimeSincePause() - Current pause duration
  • getTimeUntilNextUnpause() - Time until unpause (always current duration)
  • getPausedReason() - Pause metrics summary
  • hasMinterRole(), hasPauserRole(), hasEmergencyPauserRole() - Role queries

Role-Based Access Control

Roles

Role Capabilities
ADMIN_ROLE Grant/revoke all roles, unpause, initial role holder
MINTER_ROLE Call mint() and mintBatch() when not paused
PAUSER_ROLE Call pauseMinting() and unpauseMinting()
EMERGENCY_PAUSER_ROLE Call emergencyPause() for instant pause

Default Grants

  • Deployer gets all roles initially
  • Admin can grant/revoke other addresses

Security Features

Role-Based Access Control

  • Separate roles for different capabilities

Pause State Enforcement

  • whenNotPaused modifier on all token operations
