Add a composting upgrade for both Backpacks and Storage. When you place an item that can compost into the backpack/storage, "compost" it to get bonemeal (which can then be automatically compacted into bone blocks in you have said upgrade in place), provided you actually have room. The advanced version would allow you to filter what will be composted. Perhaps as a "balance" it could use up a slot to act as the "composting" slot.
