I tried with this but the configuration of soggfy didn't work and its just skipping without downloading

Has a solution to this been found yet? Soggfy is no longer working for me either as the Spotify installer no longer exists and it won't inject into a newer Spotify install.

Ok, I've tried the Archive.org installer and it installs but that version of Spotify is no longer working, it gives the error: "Spotify can't play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it".

Soggfy does inject into it, but as the tracks can't play they just get skipped and not downloaded.

2.7.1 seems to be working for the time being. This uses Spotify 1.2.26.1187.g36b715a1.

You shouldn't need to do anything other than download this version and boot the .cmd file. Uninstall Spotify prior as well.

Spotify 1.2.26.1187.g36b715a1 doesn't seem to be working either. Couldn't find an installer for it anywhere, but did find a backup of it on archive.org. It installs but Soggfy won't install into it, there's no Soggfy icon at the top of the app

Ok I've worked it out and got it working! I didn't realize by 2.7.1 you meant Soggfy v2.7.1 (I thought you were referring to Spotify). Due to the vagueness of the details that have been posted and other mistakes I thought I'd post my full steps as it may help others.

1 - Start by uninstalling any installs of Soggfy using its uninstaller and Spotify in Settings/Apps/Installed Apps.

2 - You need to first manually install the 32-bit version of Spotify 1.2.26.1187.g36b715a1-269. The only place I could find an installer was on archive.org: https://web.archive.org/web/20250807103659/https://upgrade.scdn.co/upgrade/client/win32-x86/spotify_installer-1.2.26.1187.g36b715a1-269.exe

3 - Then download Soggfy v2.7.1 from here: https://github.com/Rafiuth/Soggfy/releases/tag/v2.7.1

4 - Now run the Install.cmd script in the Soggfy folder. Once it's installed open Spotify.

5 - In Spotify the Soggfy settings icon is in a different position to where it was previously, which is why I didn't think Soggfy was installed correctly. It now appears at the top next to the back and forward arrows, whilst with v2.7.3 of Soggfy it appeared up the top left near the three dots. 6 - Some issues and workarounds I found that may help:

This version of Spotify for me seems to have a launch bug making it a pain to start up. I sometimes have to try and launch it 4-5 times before it will actually start. Even tried running it with admin access. There's a prefs file that gets generated in the AppData\Roaming\Spotify folder. Deleting that whenever the non-launch bug happens makes launching it more reliable, but you have to login again.

Also the Soggfy icon may not appear on first go, so you have to keep launching and quitting Spotify until the icon appears. Again, for me it took 3-4 launches before it showed up in Spotify.

I was only getting ogg files downloaded, even with mp3 selected. Reason I found was ffmpeg never installed. It should be located in AppData\Local\Soggfy\ffmpeg\ffmpeg.exe but wasn't there. So I had to run the Soggfy installer again for a second time to get ffmpeg installed. Then I could get mp3's to download.

Another tip I didn't realize, in the Soggfy settings the playback speed will still download songs properly even if set at a high speed. Just did some at 50x and they all came down fine and fast (so you don't have to actually listen to the songs).

Why not post the link then? That's what makes this all very frustrating, people just post vague info with no links or details to anything making it hard to get an actual install working. It is seem that Spotify 1.2.26.1187 now banned just like 1.2.31.1205, song just play 1 second then skip and show "Spotify Can't Play This Right Now If You Have The File On Your Computer You Can Import It"

Yeah, started happening to me on 1.2.26.1187 yesterday. Anything from the cache plays fine. New albums are failing after one second. Was good while it lasted, guys.
