Ream Meeting #14 Recap

Overview

The team provided updates on their ongoing projects and contributions. Kolby shared insights from the EF retreat and Portal Summit, while Kayden reported progress on the rewards macro for testing and fixed state functions that were out of specs. Jun is focused on integrating SP1 with Ream and introducing STF mode to perform epoch/block/slot processing in the project, and Varun is set to open an initial pull request for beacon APIs. Unnawut is progressing on the partial state update and verifying Merkle inclusion within a zkVM, alongside creating the Beam Roadmap website.

Team Updates

  • Kolby attended EF retreat and Portal Summit, also presented Ream project there.
  • Kayden implemented rewards macro and is working on macros for plots and sanity block.
  • Jun is integrating SP1 with Ream and introducing STF mode so that we can run some STFs like epoch processing, block processing or slot processing in the project.
  • Varun is implementing beacon APIs and plans to open an initial PR this week
  • Unnawut continues working on partial state update and now able to implement ssz_rs on top of a subset of the BeaconState
  • Unnawut also created the Beam Roadmap website to be the go-to place for Beam Chain resources

  • Varun to implement and open an initial PR for Beacon API implementation
  • Unnawut to get the zkVM to verify a BeaconState subset against its inclusion proof
