No sign of extension

I just installed this extension. When I select the 'source control' icon on the left side ribbon, I only see information about setting up a git repo or publishing to github. I have a workspace open that has CVS directories. Is there something I need to do to enable this extension for a workspace?

Here's my configuration.
vscode: 1.72.2 (Mac version)
Remote-SSH: 0.84.0
cvs: 1.6.2 (installed on remote Red Hat system)

My first thought is that the root of your workspace does not have a CVS folder. The extension will enable automatically if it detects a CVS folder with the expected CVS files within.

If there is a CVS folder then try using the CVS Refresh command. That will force the extension to enable and scan for the CVS folder.

I don't have your exact setup, but I do use the extension remotely as well (Windows vscode client to Ubuntu vscode server) without issues detecting CVS folders.

Hopefully one of my suggestions will help. If not, let me know and I can try to investigate more.

Thanks for the response. You are correct there is not a CVS directory in the workspace root. The CVS directories are in the subdirectories of the workspace. The way I organize my workspaces, the workspace directory isn't CVS controlled.. it's just a directory to checkout the necessary files/directories into.

Glad to hear the suggestion helped debug the problem. I have not added any support to scan for CVS projects not immediately under a workspace folder. I'll add this to my list of possible features to add. It would definitely provide more flexibility for users. For now I'll update the README and add a note about the location of CVS folders relative to the workspace.

As a possible work around perhaps you can individually add each checked out folder to the workspace (e.g. "Add Folder to workspace") . Multiple workspace folders is supported by the extension. This way you would not have to change how you currently checkout folders/files at the cost of a little more vscode workspace set-up to get going.
