IMPORTANT — Licensing of released model weights
This MIT license covers the SOURCE CODE in this repository only.
The VintageVoice model weights published on Hugging Face are a fine-tune of
F5-TTS (SWivid/F5-TTS), whose pretrained weights are distributed under the
Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 (CC-BY-NC-4.0) license. Because
our fine-tune is a mathematical derivative of those base weights, the released
VintageVoice model weights inherit CC-BY-NC-4.0. That means:
* The weights may be used, modified, and redistributed for non-commercial
purposes with attribution.
* Commercial use of the weights requires a separate arrangement with the
upstream F5-TTS authors; see https://huggingface.co/SWivid/F5-TTS .
The training data is 100% public domain, sourced from Archive.org and similar
archives of pre-1955 recordings. The data itself carries no restrictions.
