Show external catalog with their schemas in IDEs like Dbeaver, Datagrip etc

Hi, is there a way to make external catalogs show up in IDEs like DBeaver, Datagrip etc in the schema views?
currently i only see the "internal" SR managed tables/DB and external catalogs must be manually called by SHOW CATALOGS

The IDEs do the schema intropection which should show the full schema of external catalogs just like how it shows for internal catalogs

The issue is still here in 2025, wasn't able to find a way to show all catalogs with their schemas and table in DataGrip

Great reference is Trino datagrip connector, although we can't compare, it will be great if external and internal catalogs will be shown like in following snapshot

We have done some integration work for this across many IDE tools. DBeaver is still in progress, but you can see some of the completed tools in the docs such as DataGrip.

I can confirm all catalogs loaded and rendered great in DataGrip.

@chris-celerdata unfortunately, rendering of complex fields is not correct :(

For example complex field shown as BIGINT

While in CREATE TABLE its

blindspotRequestsList` array<struct<.... 

Tables with many columns, both regular and complex do not render columns at all

Is there any way I can contribute to this ?
