After tapping for the next line the old line could stay little (time to set in options ofc) longer. It would make the experience (mine at least xd) much more fluent.
Now if I tap at the moment my attention hit last word in a line I loose pace (extra time for my movement, UI reaction etc). And if I tap a little earlier my attention gets slightly confused - because current line disappears and new line draws attention to a new line before I finished the current one.
Moreover having the next line underlined already makes much more easier for attention to find the beginning of that line. It is so because we keep the same visual cue between lines. It’s easier for attention to focus on one rule only - look for an underlined text.
