🚲 Custom maps for the Gramin 520

Create the required map

http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/
keep the file size under 90mb
set the map type to "Routable"
select the required area
enter email and request map
download the generated map (openfietsmap_lite_gmapsupp.zip)

Installing on the Garmin 520

Backup your current map file

connect the garmin to your PC
open the Garmin directory
save a local copy of the gmapbmap.img file

copy the new map file

copy the gmapsupp.img file to the Garmin directory
rename the file to gmapbmap.img
unplug and restart your Garmin

You can view the map, but you'll need to within the area otherwise you will just get a blank page.
