🚀 Resource Expansion Proposal
While going through the excellent curated list in RESOURCES.md, I noticed that modern developer tools, terminal interfaces, and interactive learning environments that would be incredibly helpful for beginners transitioning into open source.
I would love to open a Pull Request to add the following three highly relevant, unique resources to the documentation:
-
Git Simulator
- Category:
Git & GitHub Basics -> Interactive Learning
- Why it helps: A visual, web-based sandbox that allows users to execute Git commands on the fly and immediately see how the branch tree structure updates in real-time.
-
Giscus
- Category:
Open Source Contribution -> Best Practices (or Tools)
- Why it helps: An incredible open-source comments system powered completely by GitHub Discussions. It serves as a perfect example for beginners on how modern web applications integrate with GitHub APIs.
-
Lazygit
- Category:
Tools & Extensions -> Making Git Easier
- Why it helps: A fast, terminal-based visual interface for Git commands. It bridges the gap perfectly for beginners who want the visual clarity of a GUI but want to keep working inside their terminal workflow.
Please let me know if these additions look good, and I'll be happy to submit a PR linking back to this issue!
@Adez017 Kindly assign this issue to me. I would like to contribute
