[Bug] the app doesn't answer on MAC OS

What happened? What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Hi, I ve just clicked in privacy & settings "open anyway", but the app doesn't open. Msg is "Apple could not confirm that "boringNotch" did not contain malware that could damage your Mac or violate your privacy."

Please confirm there is no issue or risk regarding the integrity of the machine. I work with it. No risk can be tolerated, and I'm subject to EU laws, with an M365 and SFDC pro environment. then very sensitive environment.

I cannot provide a formal zero-risk guarantee, especially for software running on a device used for sensitive work. That is not specific to Boring Notch; it generally applies to installing any software.

When security or privacy comes up, what I usually point out is that Boring Notch is open source, so its source code is available for review. If a project is popular, it has likely been looked at by many third parties and allows you to also review and scan the code if you wish. In my opinion, that can make it safer than closed-source software, especially when compared to closed-source software that is not from a large, well-established company. That said, open source alone does not guarantee it is secure.

Since you mentioned this is a work machine, I recommend following whatever rules or policies apply to your work setup before installing or running any software.

If you do choose to run the app, we have found that the System Settings “Open Anyway” flow can sometimes be unreliable. Running the following command in Terminal performs the same action more reliably and is now part of the recommended installation steps:
