Installation stuck on windows

I have meet a problem that installation got stuck and there is no info windows shown during installation procedure. Can you add a Installation Detail Log area?

@wook2013 Thanks for the report — this is a real UX gap on Windows.

The current installer is built with electron-builder's default NSIS one-click mode, which extracts ~295 MB of bundled Python runtime + omics deps silently. On slow disks or with antivirus scanning, this can look frozen for 5-15 minutes with no feedback. You're right that a detail-log view is overdue.

Could you share a bit more so I can reproduce?

1. Windows version (Win 10 / Win 11) and edition?
2. Which installer file did you run — OmicsClaw.Setup.0.1.6-x64.exe or the -arm64.exe?
3. At what stage did it appear stuck — right after double-click, partway through the progress bar, or at the final "Finishing installation" step?
4. Any antivirus other than Windows Defender? (Norton / 360 / Kaspersky tend to deep-scan large self-extracting installers.)
5. Did SmartScreen show "Windows protected your PC" first? Clicking "More info → Run anyway" is required because we don't yet sign the .exe with an EV cert.

Immediate workaround — capture install logs

Open cmd.exe as administrator and run:

"OmicsClaw.Setup.0.1.6-x64.exe" /NCRC /LOG="%TEMP%\OmicsClaw-install.log"

When it stalls (or finishes), open %TEMP%\OmicsClaw-install.log — it'll show the exact step it's on. Paste the last ~30 lines here and I can pin down the bottleneck.

Also try:

• Right-click installer → Properties → Unblock (if the checkbox is present) → OK before running
• Temporarily add %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\OmicsClaw to Windows Defender's exclusion list

What I'm planning to ship

Tracking these in a follow-up issue (will link below once filed):

• Switch installer from oneClick: true to wizard mode with a visible details page (per-file extraction progress instead of a single bar)
• Persistent install log at %LOCALAPPDATA%\OmicsClaw\install.log — always written, surfaced via Help → "Show install log" after first launch
• Pre-install size + duration estimate page ("This will install ~700 MB and take 3-10 minutes depending on disk speed")
• README section: "Windows installation troubleshooting" covering SmartScreen, antivirus exclusions, and the manual log-capture command above
• Signed installer (EV cert) — kills SmartScreen warnings; medium-term
