Receiving notifications for unselected events

Describe the issue

I'm involved in several projects translations. For one of them I'm getting notification of not finished string which is locked by owner, but in my profile unfinished strings is set to none

I already tried

• I've read and searched the documentation.
• I've searched for similar filed issues in this repository.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

1. go to profile
2. select no notif for unfinished strings (poor granularity, all projects will be impacted)
3. Wait one day - open my mail
4. Notif is here, again

Expected behavior

Tell us what you want to see : nothing ;-)

• Did you try clicking on the direct unsubscribe link at the bottom of the notification mail?
• Maybe you have the same notification enabled in a different scope (project- or component-specific, administered projects)?

Hi Nijel

I'm watching project: Syncthing to translate to french anything possible. I'm not a manager neither I have any privilege granted in the project at weblate.
I (want to) receive notifications when anything changes where I can translate.
One day I received a mail stating "1 string unfinished in Syncthing/Android app/Google Play listings"
When I clicked the link in the mail the page loaded, showing:
"The translation is temporarily closed for contributions due to maintenance, please come back later. Get notified when this project is unlocked again"
So maybe I clicked in the page and this added [Syncthing]/[Android app]/[Google Play listings]/[French] to my notifications list. Although, trying to fix this boring message coming again and again I did not want to unwatch the whole project.
Maybe the misleading thing is that anything is "project"-word centred including the profile/#notifications page and I didn't want to miss notifs related to my involvement.
Later I found a new new subproject was added to notifs when I only selected the whole project to get notified (surely the subproject name was misleading). Now I see there is a tree for Android subproject where I can see the original is locked and a new one is unlocked (the one I didn't want to miss along with the main project).
Maybe the things will be more quiet now.
