Feature Request: Would be nice to see current ticker version somewhere on the terminal

Thanks for asking. This really doesnot add any value on a day to day basis but over a period of time one tends to forget what version is running currently. I personally prefer to see current running version somewhere on the screen as it keeps me updated and if at all I see somewhere a new version notification, I would know if its really new or some site updated to the current version a little late.

As I have said, no value added and if you feel it is irrelevant, then please ignore my request and close the ticket. I am totally fine with it. 🙂

I agree that it would be nice to have the version positioned between the "change group" and the date or to the left of "Ticker". It would be a "convenience" feature so you can tell what version you are on instead of having to dig for it, especially if you are prone to keep things updated.

I am completely new to go, so I don't know if I did it correctly, but I took a stab it it... I couldn't figure out how to put it to the left of the ticker logo in orange or to the right of change sort...

@rwyarbrough, good start there. :) Try making a new variable, just with version details, then after "grid.Cell{", copy over basehelptext line and update it with new variable. Just a guess, might have alignment issues but lets try it out.
