Handling children without a device? #194

What is the recommended approach for accommodating children who do not have access to a device? Right now I don't really want to install the Home Assistant companion app on everyone's devices. We do have a central Kiosk where a generic HA user is logged in, not a family member. Am I maybe better off looking into Tag based chore claiming? Or in general do I miss out on way too much without setting up HA users for every child and getting them to use the companion app on their own device? |

Of course, writing a book requires inspiration and a strong desire. Therefore, there are excellent training sessions that develop various skills and promote progress in various fields. |

I've got a similar issue - for now the younger kids get manually claimed by me when I've checked they've done it. Tag based still requires a device with them logged into it (if you need to identify kid). Am trying not to add a bunch more esphome or zigby buttons around the house - but those ideas would work too. |

A little late here, but you can assign that generic non admin HA user to all the kids profiles in KidsChores and they will be able to claim their chores. The only downside to a single user for them, is they could check off each others chores or make claims for them, but otherwise at least they can't approve or mess with anything important. |
